18-karat gold
Since ancient times, no metal has inspired as much admiration and fascination as gold, prized for its luster, durability, and ability to withstand the test of time.
In ancient Egypt, it was associated with eternity; in Greece and Rome, it became a symbol of beauty; and in the Byzantine world, it took on a profound spiritual significance. Over the centuries, it has established itself as the quintessential metal of jewelry.
All Sofía Sunyer pieces are handcrafted in 18-karat gold, because we believe in the quality and durability of our creations, which are designed to become a legacy for those who wear them.
Pieces made of white gold are rhodium-plated, which gives them a whiter, shinier finish.

Gemstones
Gemstones have been a part of jewelry since ancient times, prized for their beauty, color, and durability.
At Sofía Sunyer’s workshop, each gemstone is carefully selected, one by one, based on its quality, character, and how well it complements the jewelry design.
Special attention is paid to the internal structure of each stone, ensuring that it has no fractures that could compromise its durability over time. However, inclusions are not considered a defect, but rather a quality that reflects the gem’s natural origin.
We work with trusted local suppliers who share our commitment to authenticity, reliability, and responsible sourcing.

Craftsmanship and the Time It Takes
Craftsmanship is at the heart of Sofía Sunyer. Every piece is designed and handcrafted in the workshop, where every stage of the process takes place in Madrid, from the initial sketches to the final polish.
The pieces are made to order, which allows us to maintain close control over every stage of the process and ensure quality.
Each piece of jewelry undergoes a handcrafted process that requires time and dedication. Once the design, exact measurements, and stones to be used have been determined, work begins in the workshop.
The process begins with wax modeling, followed by metal casting, finishing the piece, and setting the stones using a chisel and a microscope; finally, the jewelry is polished and, if desired, engraved on the inside.
